Popcorn Machines Offer Many Oportunities

Popcorn machines are a fantastic invention. They were first created by an American business man named Charles Cretors in the late 1800s. Cretors ran a snack shop and wanted to find a way to sell more of his popcorn. Prior to his invention, people had to pop their popcorn by holding a wire basket over a fire and then seasoning it afterward. Unfortunately, that was a slow process that didn’t produce very good popcorn. The result was burnt popcorn and no one wants to smell or eat that.

Charles Cretors knew he could do better. He wanted to make a higher quality popcorn and he wanted to make it faster so that he could sell a lot more of it. He made his first machine and then stood next to it outside his snack shop, showing his tasty, freshly made new popcorn to passersby. Soon, Cretors popcorn became the most popular snack in town. A few years later, his invention had become so famous that he began selling popcorn machines to other business owners across the country and even internationally.

That was over a hundred years ago, but today, you can still go into any movie theater or go to any circus, fair, or carnival and see the basics of Cretor’s invention hard at work, providing high quality popcorn to many customers every day.

Popcorn Machines Used For Business Or Home...

Are you interested in starting your own snack business or simply want something fun you can use at home or for small gatherings? Popcorn machines are easier to use and are more affordable than ever.

Like Charles Cretor, you can place a popcorn machine in your shop or business and add an element of fun for your customers. Everyone likes hot buttery popcorn and if you give or sell such a tasty treat in your store or business, your customers or clients will most likely be willing to spend more time in your establishment browsing.

You’re keeping them there, satisfied and occupied with the salty, buttery taste of popcorn. If you want to sell the popcorn rather than give it away, you should find the profits available to you encouraging. Popcorn machines, popcorn, and packaging supplies are all relatively cheap. You should be able to sell your popcorn at a low price and still make a profit on it.

If you want to use it at home, it’s sure to be a hit with your family and friends. Imagine gathering your family for a game night or movie night and popping fresh popcorn for them. My kids love watching the machine work and I bet yours will too. Your friends will also appreciate it. Invite them over to watch the football game and start your machine popping. Popcorn is a cheap and tasty snack you can offer them while you root for your favorite team.

Use Popcorn Machines For Fund Raising Events

Besides business and home use, you can also use popcorn machines for a myriad of fundraising or non-profit events. The local animal shelter in my town has an annual event where they invite pet owners to come and get their dogs bathed, checked by a vet, and micro-chipped. They also have fresh popcorn available for free. It’s a great event to raise awareness for their organization within the community and they always have a number of pet owners who make a donation during the event.

Maybe you can think of an organization, church, or other community group who could benefit from the use of your popcorn machine once in a while. Why not loan it to them or volunteer to operate it for them during their event?

As you can see, popcorn machines have many uses – from business, to family, to community support.
